Today I would like to share with you one of my recent works entitled "Rainy Day". This painting captures a moment of tranquility and reflection, a scene that resonates deeply with my love for nature and the calming solitude it can offer.

Made from a preliminary sketch made on the shore under the shelter of a bus stop. It is an acrylic work protected by anti-UV varnish on a 100 x 70 cm linen canvas and it is delivered with a certificate of authenticity and an international deposit certificate. It is also framed with an American box in light wood. (See photo at bottom of page)

The interpretation of a figurative work can indeed be subject to misunderstandings or misinterpretations. I am keen to raise this subject because it is visibly recurring for so many reasons and therefore becomes a generator of divergences.

I still have a very present memory of the hours of classes in Art School where the teaching evoked iconography in which it was a question of linking the composition to the intentional research of the artist and of being able to appropriate a certain reading considered qualitative to allow a better understanding of the work visualized. This analysis has always created for me

The uniqueness of this art form lies in its ability to tell stories through images. Contemporary narrative paintings are often composed of several elements, which together tell a story or evoke an emotion. Characters, objects and colors are carefully chosen to create an atmosphere and ambiance conducive to storytelling.

The text above is an integral part of the careful and neutral description of a work of art... However, the work was born from anger and emotion which took shape in this painting to express all my incomprehension of 'a significant liberal posture totally devoid of the slightest empathy. Devaluing through materiality a sector already particularly suffering, under the rubric of the democratization of art. Try to offer the possibility of acquiring a work, a work for 1 €… the price of the cap of the tube of blood red from the palette! I would be so delighted to be able to translate onto a canvas the expression of a €1 buyer to whom this value was attributed based on a reference to his work, in a context of democratization, pooling and sharing...

The Aix Les Bains exhibition ended this Thursday, September 29, 2022 and began on September 10. Many artists with varied styles have hung their works in the Moorish hall of the Grand Cercle Casino in the city of Aix Les Bains. The public vote awarded first prize to the work “L'IMPORTANT C'EST…” by Alain Rouschmeyer - acrylic work on linen canvas 70 x 70.

Sometimes daily life immerses us for a more or less long period in a sort of well-oiled routine which consists of getting up at the same time, having lunch with unfailing consistency, working with obsessive regularity and ending the day with a TV film including we will have barely read the synopsis to get an idea of ​​the story and thus begin after a certain time the introduction of a sweet and calm night, as written on the boxes of herbal teas in the supermarket. Eleven o'clock eleven... 11+11... the trouble of a mirror hour. You've probably already experienced that strange moment when you look at the clock and discover a mirror hour. In the same register 10:22 p.m., 4:44 a.m., 5:55 a.m.… Depending on the clock, if it is digital, we have the sensation of being in front of a casino slot machine and have obtained a winning combination. When you do research on this subject, the explanations are diverse and varied, ranging from coded communication from angels to the most contradictory numerology depending on the site that will try to explain its meaning to you.  

However, the subject remains troubling, because I have already experienced a succession of these mirror hours in a very short time, going from 10:22 p.m. to 3:33 a.m. then 5:55 a.m. and 4:16 p.m. For some it's a coincidence without...

You must have undoubtedly already experienced this, being installed deep in your foggy thoughts and observing your surrounding environment mechanically without any particular idea or fixed idea and allowing yourself to be invaded by a sort of ambient serenity.

The exhibited artists will be present during the meeting and opening days on September 17 and 18 from 2 p.m. The work "RAINY DAY" will be hung with my works during this 5th Contemporary Art fair.

I think you must have already encountered this situation where someone close to your family leaves you real estate. Delighted, surprised or disconcerted, you feel a series of emotions taking over you and calling upon memories tinged with a certain bitterness. This space, if it has been part of your life path, will take you back to the album of images from your childhood and inevitably project you into an atmosphere of the past.

Have you ever been in the situation of wanting to find yourself in your bubble, your thoughts or simply wanting to concentrate but the environment in which you find yourself is exhausting, noisy highlighting the human abundance which creates a hyper activity. The summer season being even more significant

Have you ever imagined a whole story when passing a stranger in the street? His look, his silhouette, his behavior or his posture seem so familiar to you. You can't help but imagine his world, his living space, his relationships and his passions, where he comes from and where he is going. Like an irresistible desire to imagine your world based on an element that caught your attention and that reminds you of a situation, a memory or a story you have already experienced. Sometimes simply an object, a gesture which is part of this person and which leads you to create or embroider an itinerary or a walk as if to create an imaginary connection or an unreal emotion. It's disturbing sometimes, because a simple gesture or a simple outfit can trigger this perception and appropriate the virtual journey of this stranger, this couple or this group.
